ARTICLES OF FAITH

 1.      We believe in one true and living God, and that there are three persons in the God-Head: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.

2.      We believe the scripture of the Old and New Testament (in English, the King James Translation) to be the inspired word of God and that they alone are to govern God’s people, both in faith in practice.

3.      We believe in the doctrine of eternal and particular election.

4.      We believe in the doctrine of original sin.

5.      We believe in the doctrine of man’s impotency to recover himself from the fallen state he is in by nature of his own free will and ability.

6.      We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the imputed righteousness of Christ.

7.      We believe that God’s elect shall be called, regenerated, and sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

8.      We believe that the saints shall persevere in grace, and shall never finally fall away.

9.      We believe that baptism and the Lord’s supper are ordinances, and washing of the saints’ feet an example of Jesus Christ, and true believers are the proper subjects.  We believe immersion the only mode of baptism.

10.   We believe in the resurrection of the dead, and a general judgment.

11.  We believe that the punishment of the wicked is everlasting and that the joys of the righteous are eternal.

12.  We believe that ordained ministers are such as have come under imposition of hands of a regular authorized presbytery, and that they only have the right to administer the ordinances.

13.  We believe that singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, vocally is an ordinance of the gospel to be performed by believers.
