consider a few behaviors God’s children are told to hate:

Sometimes we don’t hate enough (Rom 7:15), and sometimes we hate for the wrong
reasons (Matt 5:43-44). Hate ought
not ever be driven by another’s feelings toward us [toward God, yes; toward us,
no]. However, when a person hates
sin, he or she is on safe ground (Ps 101:3).
